Walt Fales has been immersed in the hospitality and gaming industries for more than 22 years, leading executive teams spanning planning & analysis, finance, casino marketing, strategic development, race & sports, and operational advisory services. Walt has spent the last 7 years dedicated to strategic development -- primarily focused on sourcing, contracting, funding, designing, and constructing full-scale greenfield casinos as well as multiple sportsbook renovations across the country.Â Walt is also presently intimately involved in redefining the definition of the âgaming experienceâ in a casino footprint through the âCasino of the Futureâ project that he is spearheading.
Walt is currently the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development for Caesars Entertainment, where he is intensely focused on the development and execution of reinvented sportsbooks across the Caesars portfolio as well as assisting strategic partners in commercial and tribal settings enter the sport betting market. Walt also master planned and served as the chief innovator for the first-ever Casino of the Future at the LINQ in Las Vegas, opening in May 2019. Previously, Walt served as Chief Development Officer at Warner Hospitality, helping develop and manage luxury Hard Rock and tribal casinos nationwide. He also served in senior leadership roles at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Las Vegas Sands (Venetian and Palazzo) during their development and grand opening.
Walt received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
