Trudy Smith has advised the Louisiana Gaming Control Board since its inception in 1996 in all matters relating to the regulation of gaming in Louisiana under the authority of the Board which includes video poker, casino gaming and fantasy sports. Regulatory authority over sports wagering is part of a bill currently being considered by the legislature.
Trudy is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the International Association of Gaming Regulators and a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law. She has spoken at past conferences of IAGA/IAGR, at 2018 G2E and at the Southern Gaming Conference.
She earned her J.D. degree from LSU Law Center and her bachelor’s degree in wildlife management from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
